Talysurf

This page will explain about Taylor Hobson’s “Talysurf” used in TDC.

What is Talysurf

Talysurf is a series name of surface finishing and shape measuring equipment provided by Taylor Hobson, and is widely used in the manufacturing industry.

The current product lineup is as follows.

  • Form Talysurf® PGI NOVUS
It is a series that can measure downward / upward direction, surface roughness, diameter and angle while maintaining the speed and accuracy of the conventional Foam Talysurf series.
  • Form Talysurf® LASER
Located between i-series PRO and PGI NOVUS, this model has a 10mm Z measurement range and a dual bias gauge that can measure both upper and lower sides. Angle, surface roughness, and contour shape can be measured at the same time without any decrease in accuracy and measurement speed.
  • Form Talysurf® i-series PRO
The i-series is highly accurate and reasonably priced. It is an inductive (differential transformer) gauge system, has high environmental resistance, and has the features that multiple gauge ranges and resolutions can be selected as a surface roughness and shape measuring machine in the production site environment.

About Taylor Hobson

“Taylor Hobson” is a British precision measuring instrument manufacturer under the umbrella of AMETEK, an American global manufacturer of electronic and electromechanical equipment with more than 220 manufacturing bases worldwide since 2004. It became “AMETEK Taylor Hobson”.

They are a company that provides the highest level measurement solutions globally with the philosophy of “always being the best in the world in the field of surface shape and roughness measurement”.

Talysurf used in TDC

TDC has the following Talysurf model.

  • Talysurf CCI SunStar
    Non-contact Optical 3D Profiler

Use this measuring machine to measure the surface roughness. The processor himself measures during processing to achieve highly accurate surface roughness.
In addition, it will be provided as quality assurance data at the time of shipment.
