What is a small business supporter?

“Small and Medium Enterprise Supporter” is a system established in 2019 by the Small and Medium Enterprise Organization.

SME supporters are commissioned by managers and representatives of local support organizations who have made significant contributions to the success of small and medium-sized enterprises and small businesses and the development of the region. Together with SME support organizations in other regions, we support SMEs and micro businesses facing various issues.

At SME Support, together with more than 200 SME supporters, we support the development of regional economies and the success of SMEs and small businesses.

Small and medium-sized enterprise supporter in 2021

In 2021, the Small and Medium Enterprise Organization commissioned 65 new people to be SME supporters in order to further expand the “SME supporter” system, and our president, Yuko Akabane, was also commissioned.

Under this system, which started in 2019, about 150 people have been commissioned nationwide so far, 13 people in the six prefectures of Tohoku and 3 people in Miyagi Prefecture.

In response to this request, I will do my best to develop the Japanese economy and everyone as a member of the small and medium-sized enterprise supporter.

SME support

The Small and Medium Enterprise Agency has established “Small and Medium Enterprise Colleges” in nine locations nationwide. Through practical training for managers and administrators, support is being provided for human resource development that supports SMEs.

TDC employees also attend the “Small and Medium Enterprise College” and take various courses such as training for young employees, seminars on production management, training for mid-career managers, training for successors, financial management seminars, and labor management.

In addition, we provide support for exhibiting at exhibitions, web marketing systems such as J-GoodTech, and support for management resources such as people, goods, and money that are important for small and medium-sized enterprises at low prices and free of charge.
